What is payment plan

Payment plan is the tool how to announce new fees to the students and parents. Students and their parents get the information how much to pay, maturity date of the fee and to which bank account needs to be paid.

Canteen payment plan is a specific type of payment plan, as it is connected with meal orders and different types of payers. Do not create cantine payment plans in the Payments module, but rather follow the instructions in Payment for canteen.

How to add new payment plan

a. The best name for payment plan is to define the purpose of the fee - school club, Christmas trip, swimming, etc.

b. Choose one of the school accounts defined in Payment settings - Setting of school bank accounts and rights in payment module

c. If you plan to add more payment plans connected to one bank account there is possibility to define also a specific symbol. The specific symbol helps to differentiate the purpose of the fee and makes assignment of payment to payment plan more precisely.

d. Default setting is the payment plan is visible to payers. We recommend you to leave the payment plan invisible while adding the new payment plan and turn on the visibility in the moment payment plan is ready and assigned to all payers. Automatic sending of notifications - related to changes in payments plans and visibility of payment plans

e. You can choose one from given periodicity or adjust to your needs.

f. Name the fee, add maturity date and amount. Sometimes there are students that pay different fees for a payment plan, e.g. siblings have 50% discount on tuition fees. The Payments module enables you to define a modification of the payment plan (50% discount) and assign this modification to selected students. Modifications of payment plans

g. To assign payment plan to student means, that student is obligated to pay fees of the payment plan.

Notes:

• Student with assigned payment plan doesn't have to pay all fees of the payment plan.
• One student can be assigned several payment plans e.g. Tuition fees, Swimming or Guitar course.
• One particular payment plan can be assigned to the same student only ONCE.
